Work With Your Numbers

Numbers are sexy – financial planning pragmatised to end the era of excel-monsters
Nothing seems to be more conflicting in entrepreneurship than when it comes to numbers: for investors, they are essential, founders merely procrastinate everything related. However, arguing about your KPIs and your financial planning is one of the really crucial parts in the investment process.
It’s time make them a cool tool instead of a torturing waste of time and most of all: use them to show how sexy your business is. This talk shows you how.
What People Will Learn:
  • why it is crucial for your business to get your numbers right
  • why most financial plannings are not worth the time founders spent on them
  • some approaches that are easy to implement but can really make a difference
  • how to use numbers to show how sexy your business is
Nothing seems to be more conflicting in entrepreneurship than when it comes to numbers: for investors, they are essential, founders merely procrastinate everything related. However, arguing about your KPIs and your financial planning is one of the really crucial parts in the investment process. The numbers and their presentation are a critical stumbling block where a lot of investors cut off the process. And when you dare to look at one of those overwhelmingly incoherent spreadsheet monsters that some founders have the humor to call “financial planning”, you know why.

In the age of lean and agile management methods, it’s time to give inflexible spreadsheet-monoliths a therapy. It’s time to align them with your lean and iterative approaches, make them a cool tool instead of a torturing waste of time and most of all: use them to show how sexy your business is. Work with your numbers instead of against them, so they will be sexy, also for investors. This talk shows you how.
