This week we meet 3 Women Entrepreneurs who found their passion in business very early on: from brand strategy to technology & engineering, to teaching. How did they keep themselves inspired and purposeful: by committing to lift up other women on their journey!
About the Speakers:
1/ Pili Zambrano:
An entrepreneur at heart, Pili launched (and sold) her first business in her early twenties. From there, Pili knew for fact entrepreneurship was the way for her life. A few years (and business) later, she started her Youtube and Instagram travel blog @pilianddano with her partner Dano. It was born out of their love for travel, adventure, and their ambition to show everyone that an alternative lifestyle is possible.
As a serial entrepreneur, dreamer, and adventurer Pili’s main goal is to inspire female entrepreneurs to chase their dreams, to stop following society’s standards, and to start creating their own. We, my business partner Marie and I, recently launched our podcast OWN IT! The Podcast is to help female entrepreneurs seize the potential of their own destiny by pushing boundaries and being unapologetic about their choices and opinions.
2/ Mila Alfitri:
Mila Alfitri is a mobile engineer at GOJEK. She studied at Oregon State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2014. She is an advocate for girls in STEM fields and co-founded Generation Girl in 2018. She was a mentor for one of its initial programs in December 2018. Aside from working at GOJEK and Generation Girl, she is an avid speaker for various technology communities and has mentored iOS boot camps for university graduates in Gojek. She works on various side projects and has had two applications released in the App Store. Mila resides in Bali, Indonesia.
3/ Teshalonika Krisanti:
Tesha is a singer, an educator, and a founder of Kampoeng English Indonesia. She was born and raised in Jakarta, but then life decided to redirect her path to move to Bali 6 years ago. Tesha moved to Bali when she was 15 and her parents are fully supportive of her dreams so they come as well to Bali and left everything in Jakarta.
Her passion for education and arts has led her to many amazing opportunities, one of them was to be selected to receive a fully-funded scholarship from Green School Bali that changed her life. Before she even ended high School, with the help and encouragement of her father, she founded Kampoeng English Indonesia to empower local children to be confident learners who follow their big dreams like her, ignite their potential, all with a focus on sustainable education and hands-on learning experience.
Her sincere gratitude to be in Bali gives her a deep connection to the Balinese people who are so friendly in welcoming her and the family, and her desire to “give back” was immediately born.
