In this class, we will learn some of the behavioral and neuroscientific benefits of mindfulness and practice a couple of simple techniques to get the short and long-term benefits. Being present is a powerful mental state that can help us recharge, reduce stress, increase cognition and even become more innovative.

About the speaker:
Rio is a program lead at Google Launchpad (startup accelerator) and a teacher at gPause, Google’s mindfulness initiative. Rio has practiced yoga and meditation for over 10 years, certified as a teacher and advanced practitioner in India and teaches internationally at events and retreats.
His background includes community building and facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations between technology, entrepreneurship, and creative industries. He is passionate about personal growth, mental fitness, and practices that mitigate burnout in the startup world.
