About the speakers:

  • Mila Alfitri
Mila Alfitri is a mobile engineer at GOJEK. She studied at Oregon State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2014. She is an advocate for girls in STEM fields and co-founded Generation Girl in 2018. She was a mentor for one of its initial programs in December 2018. Aside from working at GOJEK and Generation Girl, she is an avid speaker for various technology communities and has mentored iOS bootcamps for university graduates in Gojek. She works on various side projects and has had two applications released in the App Store. Mila resides in Bali, Indonesia.
  • Suzie Clark
Suzie quit her banking career at J.P. Morgan in London and booked a one-way ticket to Bali 2 years ago. Since then, she’s founded e-commerce brand Franc & Iris and is Asia Growth Lead for crypto start-up, MoonPay.
  • Mizhgon Bakhti (Mij)
Mij came to Indonesia at 18 years old to pursue her bachelor’s degree, stepping out of her comfort zone at an early stage to be independent. She found living in Indonesia very challenging at first, having to adapt to the culture, learn a new language, and accept her new reality. After graduating, she had an opportunity to work as an English Teacher at Jakarta’s Private Schools. Although this job brought her a lot of positive emotions, it wasn’t something that she envisioned for the long term. Instead, she started her lifestyle YouTube channel during the lockdown, rapidly gaining 6.5K followers. Later on, deciding to go bigger, she launched her own jewelry brand “Mirelia Jewelry”, which is targeted at hard-working and ambitious women. Starting something that she previously never had an experience in, she is now enjoying living in the vision she had for herself.
  • Ditta Tri
Ditta has had 10 years of corporate life experience in energy & oil companies before shifting to self-employment. Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2017, with an online retail pet goods business, called « The Pawhigh store », known nationwide as « the Apple store for pet lovers ». She is currently distributing her products all over Bali, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Semarang, and soon in Medan and Makassar. Expanding the line from B2C and e-commerce to producing her own pet food, treats, and accessories (B2B), she is expecting the whole business to reach seven figures by the end of this year.
