Often times, individuals wishing to do something to aid the local community during their stay in Bali don’t know where to begin. With the Dojo CoGiving program, members have had an easier way to find out about local organizations and to get their skills and talents put to good use to help effect change.
Stella’s Child provides life skills, business/entrepreneurship, and work-ready programs for some of Bali’s most disadvantaged youth. In 2019 it’s time to try and make a bigger change. The Foundation will be introducing Community Action Projects that will allow the youth to utilize their newly developed leadership, confidence, and business skills to implement a local program in their village to bring about positive change. Areas of focus are: Waste Management, Environmental Protection, Education, Poverty & Hunger, and Social Justice. Partner foundations and other subject matter experts to assist the youth in developing their project are currently being sought.

About the speaker:
Tim has worked in the non-profit sector for over 25 years with a focus on access to postsecondary education in the United States and is a former Chief of Staff at the United Stated Department of Education. Tim is the Founder of Stella’s Child who was inspired to leave corporate life behind and to start an NGO to bring educational opportunities to underprivileged children.
