About the speaker:
Benjamin Casteillo is born in France in 1979, from separated parents. As a young man, he was puzzled by the society, he started to travel when he was 19. Since then, he took every opportunity to travel the world looking for meaning, happiness and response to his existential questions. After graduating with a master degree in international business and a specialization in intercultural management, he started a very successful corporate career in Asia that lasted for more than 10 years.
During that successful career, he climbed the corporate ladder from manager to senior manager, he had everything that society is considering as success: money, recognition, prestige, friends, intimate relationships but he was missing something important: a real sense of purpose and meaning. He was also disturb by the corporate world obsession with profit and growth and that resulted in lack of concern regarding social and environmental matters.
After 10 years and loyal services and while his career was at a peak, he decided to follow his consciousness and heart and to resign. My ex corporation did not let him go easily, he became a freelance consultant and then expert consultant in organization and processes for his previous corporate employer. His last mission as an expert consultant ended as he went through what he could call a consciousness awakening following a meditative retreat in Bali in January 2017, his CEO had retired, and the new CEO had changed plans, the project he was working on was put to an end. He took it as a sign that his corporate life was over and decided to leave his corporate life for good. He has since then been exploring himself and the deep meaning and depth of this consciousness awakening. Since May 2018, and after plenty of realizations about himself and the world around him, he has decided to put his resources at the service of the greatest cause he could find in these challenging times of our history: humanity, and our future of our beautiful planet earth.
