We invite you to learn how innovation can help tackle the current sustainability challenges facing our oceans today and the importance for innovation to tackle global and local issues. We will discuss and share practical examples of how “tech for good” helps tackle these issues and how you, wherever you are, can engage

About the speaker:
I am Deborah, from Brasil and have been living in Indonesia for over 4 years. Prior to Indonesia, I have lived in Colombia, the US and a few other places in between.I focused my career on creating new strategies to support social entrepreneurs to improve both wellbeing and contribute to environmental sustainability. I am an ocean admirer and love whale sharks!
With over the past 16 years in impact investments, I have worked in Latin America, Africa and Asia for impact investment funds for a variety of institutions: Conservation International, Fauna & Flora International, Incofin Investment Management and the Inter-American Development Bank. Over the last four years I have been living in Indonesia and focusing on projects to foster marine sustainability, such as the creation of over 1 million hectares of marine protected areas in eastern Indonesia.
