About the speaker:
- Devina
A few years ago, Devina quit her job at Walt Disney World, USA, and moved back to Indonesia, her home country to start making a difference. With no background in social work or education, or even personal funds to support her dreams, she now founded Jalin Mimpi Foundation – a non-profit organisation that sources free Education to underprivileged children in Indonesia (mainly in Sumba Island, East Nusa Tenggara). With @Jalin.Mimpi Foundation, she built a school that provides free education to children who live in the village in East Sumba. She now lives in between Jakarta-Bali-Sumba while working on her businesses that she successfully started during the pandemic, @SundayPaintClub, and @Tanabassa.id

With more than 10+ years of working experience in marketing and business development, Christa has led projects in all sorts of marketing functions. Her past roles include being a content creator in Surfer Girl, Bali to spearheading Danone AQUA’s digital marketing transformation, and a catalyst to Japan’s LINE Messenger’s early growth. She is now Google’s New Business Partnership Manager and her day-to-day role is to help small and large businesses to create effective messaging which brings business impact. Also an owner of a small furniture business in Bali, she’s also a CoFounder of Jalin Mimpi, an NGO focusing on education & economic empowerment for underprivileged communities in Eastern Indonesia.
