About the speaker:
I’m Hannah Burton, a born and bred Londoner, whose previous life was as a professional dancer. Years of being judged on my looks left me with a secret eating disorder that I battled with on and off for 17 years! Learning to heal my relationship with food led me to see food as nutrients and not simply calories. I learnt that all my years of yo-yo dieting, binging, purging and restriction had created an enormous amount of stress on my body and the only way to combat that was healing my body with whole foods full of nutrients and healing properties.

As I started to fuel my body with nourishing foods my energy levels increased and my low moods diminished. I started to thrive and find my joy for life again, and I knew that my destiny was to help other people feel this way too! That’s why I decided to go back to college to study Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine.

To fund my way through college, I worked full-time in the corporate world as a Personal / Executive Assistant working Monday to Friday from 09:00am – 6:00pm and then going to college every other weekend. This in itself was extremely stressful and I never would have coped if I didn’t nourish and support myself properly! I completely understand what it’s like to be stressed out to the max with all the pressures that come with both the corporate world and the performing industry, and this is what gives me my superpower of empathising with my clients.
