Life is more fun when you turn strings into beautiful things!
Do you know that knitting and crocheting are the new Yoga?
But, you’re too young to crochet? Often times, we assume that crocheting and knitting are grandmothers’ hobbies, but nowadays, crochet has become the new hobby that hooked the younger generations! In this workshop, you will learn the basics of crochet from the founder of Volen Artspace, Esmeralda Kustari. The workshop will include 2 bundles of yarn, 1 crochet needle, and an instruction book for you. No previous experience is required, we are here to create beautiful things together.
*WHAT WILL PEOPLE LEARN?
- Trial and error is how we grow
- 3 techniques with needle crochet ( Chain, single crochet, double crochet)
- How to mix the yarn?
- How to do slip stitch for every end of the yarn?
*ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Esmeralda grew up watching her grandma knit and crochet. At the age of 8, her grandmother taught her how to knit and crochet different kinds of things. She quickly picked up the skills and her grandmother called her a gifted knitter. She found her passion and was committed to learning everything about the world of strings. She went on to take intense handmade crochet and knitting machine lessons. Volen Artspace was launched in 2012 after she visited The United Kingdom. There, she was inspired by Wool And The Gang where all the cool kids do knitting and crocheting. She decided to create her own handmade products and sell them in Bandung. In 2015, Esmeralda moved to Bali and three years later, she started teaching workshops. Since then, she has done more than 100 workshops sharing her skills to the younger generations from all around the globe.
